Students’ Knowledge is Reinforced with Practical Experience

At Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, all the necessary conditions, opportunities and a solid foundation for student internships have been created, enhancing their knowledge. The system is continually being improved to meet contemporary needs.

Systematic cooperation with higher education institutions has been established to prepare engineering personnel for the Company. Long-term plans have been outlined for training the engineering personnel needed for industrial enterprises.

In order to ensure that the Company’s units are staffed with highly qualified specialists, cooperation agreements have been concluded with Navoi State Mining and Technological University, Tashkent State Technical University, University of Geological Sciences, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Tashkent State Transport University and several other higher educational institutions. In 2022-2023 alone, 912 students from these universities completed their internships at the Company’s enterprises, and in 2023-2024, 860 students are completing their internships.

Additionally, strong relations have also been established with Zarafshan Industrial College, Uchkuduk Industrial College and the Monocenter in Navoi city to prepare future personnel for the Company. This year, 95 students from Zarafshan Industrial College are undergoing practical training at the Central Mining Administration and 100 students from Uchkuduk Industrial College are undergoing practical training at the Northern Mining Administration.

The full integration of higher education, science, and production, along with the blend of theory and practice, ensures that students carry out their qualification practice directly at production facilities, providing them with the necessary foundation to become ready specialists.
