Important investment projects are being implemented step by step at JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company. In particular, in 2022, there was began the implementation of a project aimed at expanding production and processing capacities for the development of the Turbay deposit in Tamdy district of Navoi region.

As part of this project, it is planned to mine 2 million tons of oxidized gold ore per year at the Turbay deposit. As a result of the development of the deposit, the open pit will be about 1.5 km long, 900 meters wide and 170 meters deep.

To date, modern mining equipment, such as excavators, dump trucks, drilling rigs, bulldozers, front loaders, is widely used in mining operations at the Turbay deposit. The mined ore for processing is transported by rail to the Hydrometallurgical Plant №5.

This year, within the framework of the project, it is planned to put into operation a railway line with a length of 50 kilometers, connecting the Turbay deposit with Hydrometallurgical Plant №5, as well as a hostel and a canteen for 100 shift workers.

It is worth noting that after the full implementation of this project, a solid foundation will be created for increasing the production of precious metals at the company.
