To date, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combpa is implementing large investment projects aimed at expanding mining and processing capacities.

In particular, in 2022, there was started the extraction of gold ore for the development of the Balpantau and Tamdybulak deposits in Tamdy district of Navoi region. Within the framework of this project, it is planned to mine 3 million tons of gold ore per year at the deposits.

Since then, about 4 million cubic meters of rock mass have been mined at the Balpantau and Tamdybulak deposits, about 1 million tons of gold ore have been transported by rail to Hydrometallurgical Plants №2 and 5 for processing.

At the moment, modern mining equipment, such as excavators, dump trucks, drilling rigs, bulldozers, front loaders, is widely used in mining operations at the deposits. Also, about 500 new jobs were created within the framework of this project. It is noteworthy that in order to promote the employment of residents of Tamdy district, unemployed citizens from among the local population were employed by retraining at the Training Center of JSC NMMC in Zarafshan city in professions and specialties suitable for the mining and metallurgical industry.
