On May 21, a practical workshop was held in Tashkent on the topic “IPO in Uzbekistan: milestones, trends and opportunities”, organized by the consulting company BeOne Uzbekistan with the support of the National Agency for Prospective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This workshop was attended by representatives of government agencies, business, joint stock companies, and the Republican Stock Exchange “Tashkent”. The delegation of Navoi Gold, consisting of the Chief Transformation Officer E. Antonov, the Chief Financial Officer J. Khasanov also took part in the conference.

The purpose of the workshop is to increase the level of awareness of joint stock companies about the stages and requirements associated with preparing for an IPO. At the event, current issues were discussed on the capital market of Uzbekistan, the listing procedure on the stock exchange, tax aspects for issuers, as well as the important role of the quality of corporate governance in joint stock companies preparing for the IPO process.
