Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company announces the launch of two new biooxidation units at its HMP-3 processing plant. The new BIOX units form part of the NMMC's ongoing capital investment program to expand its operations and increase annual gold production.

The new BIOX units include 12 new bioreactors in addition to the 48 existing bioreactors operating at the site.

They will increase the plant’s production capacity for gold ore by 12% and for sulfide concentrates by 25% while creating 25 new jobs.

The HMP-3 processing plant expansion is part of NMMC’s "Ore Mining at the Kokpatas and Daugyztau Gold Deposits (Phase III)" capital investment program.

In 2024, NMMC boosted HMP-3's capacity from eight million tons to nine million tons per annum, via the launch of a new seventh mill.

This milestone marks another step forward in NMMC’s commitment to innovation, efficiency and growth in the mining industry.
