NMMC hosted a workshop on investment processes in modern mining companies, attended by international experts from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and key managers from NMMC.

The workshop agenda included discussions of international best practices in investment decision-making, how to distribute authority in implementing multi-stage investment projects, and how to identify areas for improvement in current implementation procedures for investment projects. The event served as a platform for an exchange of ideas and the elaboration of future plans, taking into account success stories from NMMC and other leaders in the global industry.

The workshop also highlighted some of the work already completed at NMMC to improve investment processes, including the introduction of regulations on multi-stage project design, and the creation of an Investment Committee with clear procedures and responsibilities.

NMMC, like other companies in the mining industry, currently faces challenges that necessitate more measured requirements in the investment process. These include the decreased tempo in discovering new deposits and the need for increasingly complicated processing technologies. Nevertheless, as an industry leader, NMMC recognizes the importance of improving its investment processes so as to ensure the efficient deployment of capital to support its long-term development priorities.
