Industrial growth brings many benefits, but it also comes with the responsibility to protect our environment. In Uzbekistan, preserving and expanding green spaces has become a national priority, with the “Yashil Makon” project aiming to plant 200 million trees annually, increasing urban greenery from 8% to 30%.

At Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, we take this mission seriously:

🌳 460,300 seedlings were planted by our team last year.
🌳 30,000 saxaul trees now form a green belt around the Turbay mine in the Tamdy district.
🌳 At Pistali mine and Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 6 in Nurata district, 230,000 seedlings were planted across 155 hectares, with drip irrigation ensuring sustainable growth.
🌳 Crops like melons and watermelons were cultivated between tree rows, providing fresh produce for workers.
🌳 100,000 saxaul trees were planted in Muynak and on the dried Aral Sea bed, helping restore the fragile ecosystem.

In 2025, NMMC will plant 480,000 more trees reinforcing our commitment to a greener and healthier Uzbekistan. The fate of the environment is the fate of future generations. Let’s grow a sustainable future together!
