At Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company our people are our greatest asset, and we made significant strides in the training, upskilling and professional growth of our employees in 2024. Currently, NMMC employs 47,647 people with 25.9% holding higher education qualifications and 23.4% under the age of 30.

In 2024, 32% of our workforce participated in training and skill development programs. NMMC focused on three priority areas of training and personnel retention:

1. Training and onboarding new engineers

NMMC partnered with higher educational institutions for the training of engineering personnel, hiring about 700 university graduates in 2024

2. Cooperating with universities and colleges to train young specialists

Strong ties were established with the Navoi State Mining and Technological University, the Tashkent State Technical University, the Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute, the Zarafshan Industrial College and the Uchkuduk Mining College to train young personnel.

3. Continuous professional development and retraining of personnel

NMMC established five specialized training centres where 12,840 employees completed programs in 2024. To train mid-level specialists, a Monocenter was established in Navoi with the support of NMMC. In 2024, NMMC hired 238 new team members who completed training at the Monocenter.
